DECEMBER 2016
The Lord gave a divine calling to Elder James Hayes, guiding him to lay the foundation for Destiny Temple in the vibrant city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. As the preparations for this inspiring ministry began to take shape, a captivating logo was meticulously crafted to embody its values and mission. In addition, ministry cards were meticulously designed, and extensive outreach plans were set in motion to engage and uplift the local community.

THE YEAR OF 2017

The ministry has made significant progress in expanding its presence and impact in the community. In addition to establishing a strong presence on various social media platforms and launching an informative website, the ministry has also acquired a 12- passenger church van to facilitate transportation for its members and outreach activities. Engaging the community has been a key focus, with interest meetings, volunteer sessions, and the highly anticipated Vision Launch event, all of which took place at the Sims Recreation Center.

Furthermore, the ministry has actively participated in community initiatives, such as organizing Back to School events and giving away bookbags in collaboration with HHG, as well as sponsoring Bibles for youths. A major milestone has been the renovation of small building at 627 Alexander Street, which has provided the ministry with a permanent and visible presence in the community. To enhance its outreach efforts, the ministry has invested in sound equipment and furniture, ensuring that its services and events are conducted with excellence and professionalism. The culmination of these efforts was the successful inaugural service held on Sunday, October 1st, which marked the beginning of a new chapter for the ministry. As an expression of gratitude and giving back, the ministry served a heartwarming Thanksgiving dinner to the community in November, further solidifying its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those it serves.

THE YEAR OF 2018

Launch of the Outreach Ministry at the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission and the powerful Stop the Violence Rally in downtown WS. We're thrilled to announce that Destiny Temple has been inducted into the ACCG in Martinsville, VA, marking a significant milestone in our ministry's growth and impact. In addition to this, we are elated to share the news of our recent purchase of a new church building, comprising seven lots, on October 1st. This strategic acquisition sets the stage for our expanding reach and ability to serve our community. We're also thrilled to report that our first service at the new location, 1131 21st Street NE, was an incredible success, with new members joining our congregation as we continue to grow and strengthen our community of faith.

THE YEAR OF 2019

Elder James Hayes installation and Church dedication were joyous occasions that brought the community together in celebration. The Annual Back to School Bash & bookbags give-a-way, hosted at Destiny Temple, was a heartwarming event that provided valuable resources for the community's children. Additionally, the recent purchase of a new gas furnace and additional equipment has improved the church's facilities, ensuring a comfortable environment for all.

The successful payoff of church furniture is a testament to the dedication and generosity of the congregation. Furthermore, the church's involvement in providing gifts for kids during the Toys-4-Tots Christmas give-a-way has demonstrated a commitment to spreading joy and goodwill during the holiday season. The ongoing monthly outreach initiatives in the community have strengthened bonds and fostered a sense of unity, while the Easter Play for the community was a meaningful and uplifting event. The continuous increase in members is a testament to the positive impact that the church has had, and the monthly Fellowship Services provide a space for spiritual growth and connection within the community.

THE YEAR OF 2020

Destiny Temple is proud to announce that we have successfully obtained our 501 (c)(3) certification, marking a significant milestone in our journey as a charitable organization. We are excited to share that we have also established a meaningful partnership with Amazon Smiles, which allows our supporters to contribute to the causes they care about while shopping through the platform.

In our commitment to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our congregation, we have recently completed the installation of a state-of-the-art HVAC Air Filtration System and unveiled a stunning new brick outdoor church sign, adding to the aesthetic appeal of our property. Furthermore, we are thrilled to report that we have carried out essential electrical upgrades, including a complete rewiring of our property, and have successfully completed the construction of a dedicated youth room, providing a welcoming space for young members of our community.

In a significant achievement, we are proud to share that we have paid off the gas furnace, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. Additionally, we have extended our outreach efforts by distributing Christmas gifts, including clothes and blankets, to neighboring communities, demonstrating our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our church walls. As we adapt to the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have invested in the purchase of additional video and audio equipment to enhance our live streaming capabilities, allowing our services to reach a wider audience. We are heartened to see that our attendance continues to grow, even amidst the pandemic, as our virtual services provide a source of spiritual nourishment and connection for our community.

THE YEAR OF 2021

Installation of new roof and new carpet is currently underway, marking a significant milestone in the interior/exterior restoration of the building. In addition to these improvements, the church is also installed equipment for the new youth room, creating a dedicated space for the younger members of the congregation.

Further enhancements to the church facilities include the installation of a new portable baptism tank and additional security equipment, underscoring the commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and visitors. These physical upgrades are complemented by ongoing outreach efforts in the local communities, with the church continuing to engage with and support its neighbors actively. In line with this commitment, youth events are regularly held at the church, providing a nurturing and inclusive space for children to connect and grow in their faith. As a result of these efforts, the church has seen a steady increase in attendance and membership, reflecting the positive impact of these ongoing initiatives.

THE YEAR OF 2022

Preparation for Rockhill, South Carolina, begins with thorough visitation and strategic outreach in the vicinity, ensuring that every aspect of the community's needs and preferences are considered. Meanwhile, significant renovations are underway at the Winston-Salem, NC facility, with a particular focus on comprehensive basement foundation restoration to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the building.
